My first drums were ordered out of the Sears & Roebuck catalog in the late 1960s! The cymbals lasted a couple of days at best. In the early 1970s I bought a used set of Ludwig drums and played with my buddies Marc and Robin throughout high school. In our senior year we formed the rhythm section of the High School Jazz band. After high school I quit playing until the late 1990s. My emphasis now is on creating my own improvisational percussion pieces for my very large drum set.
